CorraNews is a news app that cross-references coverage across outlets to help you judge how well-corroborated a story is. We built it to respect your privacy: there are no accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We don't ask for your name, email, or any information that identifies you. We use limited, privacy-respecting crash reporting and analytics to keep the app working and improve it — and we never sell your data or track you across other apps or websites.
CorraNews ("we," "us," or "the app") is operated by Dreamlayer Media. If you have any questions about this policy or your privacy, contact us at basheer@dreamlayer-media.com.
CorraNews does not require an account and does not collect personal information that identifies you. Specifically, we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location, and we do not have user accounts or logins.
To keep the app reliable and understand how it's used, we rely on standard tools from Google that collect limited technical data. This data is not tied to your identity, and we do not use it to track you across other apps or websites.
When you choose to share a social media post or link into CorraNews for fact-checking, the content of that post is sent to our AI processing provider (Google Cloud Vertex AI) so it can be analyzed and matched against corroborating sources. This happens only when you actively share something. The content is processed to generate your result and is not stored on our servers afterward. CorraNews never posts, shares, or publishes anything on your behalf.
We rely on trusted providers to run the app. Each processes data only as needed to deliver their service:
Crash and analytics data is retained only as long as needed to diagnose issues and understand usage trends, in line with our providers' standard retention settings. Content shared through Social Check is processed transiently and not retained after your result is generated.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights regarding personal data. Because we do not collect information that identifies you, these rights have limited application, but you're welcome to contact us with any concern.
CorraNews is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect data handled by the app. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect information and limit access to it.
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add features such as subscriptions in the future. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
